WHat:

In our teams, we put together a trend forecasting presentation for A/W 2020/21.

We collected, identified and presented a trend prediction for the following categories: Womenswear (including; garments, shapes, fabrics, colours, graphics), Menswear (including; garments, shapes, fabrics, colours, graphics), In-store and VM (including; fixtures, fittings, graphics, lighting, flooring, way-finding, windows, swing labels, packaging, experience), Lifestyle (including; products, food, tech, beauty, travel, leisure)

On returning from Berlin/other city and Pure London we printed contact sheets of all of our images, we categorised them into groups to pull out trend stories.

As a team we presented our primary research images and received feedback.

We used idea generation techniques to create a lexicon for each trend (trend name, colour names, description).

We pulled in secondary research to contextualise our trend. Researched designer inspiration, runway images, historical/contextual references and relevant macro trends.

The research was presented in a trend prediction presentation which gave an overview of our findings and insights.
